In a rare Saturday contest, the Harrison Goblins traveled to the Capitol City to play in the Little Rock Martin Luther King Showcase.

Pitted against Little Rock McClellan, the Goblins were quick to flex their 5A-West muscle against the 5A-South Lions as they won the contest, 67-44.

The difference in the contest came in the second period.
After a 14-14 game, the Goblins found themselves behind, 16-14, as McClellan scored the opening bucket of the period.

Harrison got a 3-pointer by Jackson Marseilles before Trevor Atwell added two free throws.

The Lions scored again to pull within a point, but Harrison got a pair of charity tosses from Braeden Boren to take a 21-18 lead.

McClellan hit a free throw to get within two points, but that was as close as the team would get the rest of the way.
Atwell connected on free throws before Boren scored on a layup, Another Atwell field goal gave the Goblins a 27-19 lead.

During the final 3:13 of the second period, Boren single-handily outscored the Lions, 9-5. Boren scored the last nine points for the Goblins in the second period as they held a 36-26 lead at intermission.

McClellan started the second half with the opening bucket, but Nathan Jenkins pushed the Goblin lead back to double digits with a long shot.

Cutting the Harrison lead to six points with less than 2 minutes left in the third period, Little Rock McClellan could not get any closer. Harrison closed the period with a three-point play by Marseilles and a field goal by Tanner Curry.
Harrison led, 48-37, heading into the last period.
Marseilles started the fourth period with a basket and Atwell hit two more free throws.

The Lions were able to cut the Harrison lead to 52-40, but the Goblins took off. They scored the next eight points with Boren starting run. Atwell added a dunk before Sklyer Young scored on an offensive putback. Atwell finished the run with a pair of freebies.

Leading Harrison in scoring was Boren with 19 points. Atwell added 18, Marseilles 10, Jenkins and Curry six each, Young four and Colton Youngblood two.
