The War Eagles of Little Rock Fair went through another difficult season in 2016. Little Rock Fair picked up a win last season via forfeit over Morrilton. The War Eagles will have plenty of starters returning for the 2017 season and want to improve upon last year’s 1-9 record.
Little Rock Fair has seven starters returning on the offensive side of the ball for the 2017 season. Quarterback Akeem Gilmore will be the player for War Eagles’ fans to watch out for on the offensive side of the ball. Gilmore saw significant time last year as the starting quarterback and he will likely see time again this year as the signal caller. Fair has the potential to improve on the offensive side of the ball this season and Gilmore should be a big part of that process.
The War Eagles’ defense must improve as well in order to add to the win total and they too will have seven starters returning for the 2017 season. Fair fans should look for Derrick Lloyd to continue to rack up the tackle from the linebacker position. Lloyd racked up over 80 tackles last season and should have no problem matching those numbers this season. The defense will need to force some turnovers and mainly just stay off the field for extended periods of time in order to improve upon last season’s record.
For the War Eagles it is going to be a gradual improvement. If Little Rock Fair’s offense can sustain drives and shorten the game for the defense then fans should expect to see some improvement from the War Eagles. The War Eagles may not be a playoff team this season but fans should see some improvement through the course of the year.
