The White Hall Lady Bulldogs won against the McClellan Lady Lions on Tuesday night by a score of 51-40.

A pair of three-pointers from Camry Garner and inside scoring from Sam Jackson had the Lady Bulldogs in a great position in the beginning of the first quarter.

The Lady Lions would retaliate near the end of the first quarter. After trailing 13-5, Jykiara Brown made a layup and Dasha Brown scored six straight points to end the quarter on an 8-0 run and tie the game at 13-13.

Both teams traded baskets in the second quarter and Jaidus King led the quarter with six points.

However, the Lady Bulldogs were trailing 27-25 at halftime to McClellan.

Garner hit a three-pointer and Jackson made a basket to start the third quarter to give White Hall a 30-27 lead, but Dasha Brown and Brittney Patterson combined for the next eight points to give McClellan a 37-30 lead over the Lady Bulldogs.

Near the end of the third quarter, JJ Jefferson made a free throw and another triple from Garner, along with a basket from King, found the Lady Bulldogs only trailing 37-36 heading into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, White Hall started on a 9-0 run to take a commanding 45-37 lead and eventually win the ball game.

The Lady Bulldogs comeback win was led by Jackson with 16 points. Garner and King added 12 and 11 points, respectively.



For McClellan, Dasha Brown led with 16 points and Takyra Miles added 11 points for the Lady Lions.

BOYS

The White Hall Bulldogs fell short to the McClellan Lions on Tuesday night by a score of 58-52.

White Hall jumped out to a 5-3 start after two baskets from Zavion Jackson and a free throw from Quentin Urqhart.

Later in the first quarter with the game tied 8-8, Ian Robinson and Rodney Cummings both made a basket for the Lions to take a 12-8 lead.

Devin Koonce scored a layup for the Bulldogs, but Robinson made another basket of his own for McClellan to lead 14-10 at the end of the quarter.

In a low scoring second quarter, McClellan outscored the Bulldogs 9-4 to take a 23-14 lead at halftime.



Turnovers were costly for White Hall in the second half, and the Lions took advantage of it.

An 13-3 run for McClellan opened up the third quarter and extended their lead to 36-17.

The lead was cut down to 38-24 after five points from Jabbari Blackmon and a basket from Jackson for White Hall, but the Lions later held a 42-24 lead at the end of the third quarter.

The Bulldogs cut the deficit down to 44-35 after Tylin Walker scored seven points to help spark an 11-2 start to the fourth quarter, but the Lions immediately scored eight straight point to increase the gap to 52-35.

With under two minutes left in the game, Blackmon made a short runner for a score and Urqhart added two more baskets to keep the Bulldogs close.

After a free throw from McClellan, Koby Drake and Blackmon each added a basket to help White Hall find themselves within eight points at 53-45.

After another made free throw for McClellan late in the fourth quarter, Koonce made an open triple to bring the Bulldogs even closer at 54-48.



But the comeback would fall short for White Hall, with the Lions nailing some clutch free throws down the stretch to seal their win.

Walker led the way for the Bulldogs with 12 points, while Koonce and Blackmon both added 11 points a piece.

For McClellan, Cummings and Robinson both had 11 points to lead the Lions.
